The French Quarter: Janna & Blanca

It's time for a THROWBACK THURSDAY blog!

I couldn't think of any other session that I would love to revisit as much as that time we got to go to New Orleans. Janna & Blanca came all the way from San Antonio, TX to get married in The Big Easy and hired us to capture portraits after their courthouse ceremony. We just couldn't pass up this opportunity especially because I had never been and was obsessed with The French Quarters architecture.

We explored like Dora damn it! Most families are into parks and pretty things. We are more like the Addams family so we went to visit Lafayette Cemetery. Following that, we drove through the extremely hard to navigate Garden District to see the former home of Anne Rice .

By the time we were scheduled to start our session the clouds rolled in and it started to drizzle but we ALWAYS embrace the rain and the opportunity for creativity.  Luckily enough Janna & Blanca completely trusted us to create beautiful memories of their wedding day. With the help of our "little helpers", as the brides affectionately named them, we did some of our best work throughout the Quarter and City Park. I don't know when we're going but I am determined for us to make it back for a full wedding in 2016. It's just so pretty!

Thought I'd throw in a few behind the scenes pics: We had such fun!
